A unique event where the jazz trumpet of Gregory Rivkin and the keyboard passages of Michael Agre will combine with electronic music written and played live by Andrey Orenstein.

Andrey Orenstein is an electronic artist, singer-songwriter and music producer based in Tel-Aviv, Israel. His music is a blend of various genres and cultures, full of unexpected things and experiments with sound.

Andrey is a member of the groups Tequilajazzz and Crossfates, releases music ranging from electro-pop to jungle all over the world under a dozen aliases (aka Amor Entrave, 50Dix, Do You Like Trains?), makes remixes for fellow musicians (Mumiy Troll, Kurara, Sansara, etc.)

Gregory Rivkin got everything that a trumpeter could only ask for: the sound, flawless technique, range, total control…All these qualities are supported with unified balance of emotions, spirit and intellect.

During his teens Gregory became a first-prize winner of several national competitions in Israel and six times in a row won a scholarship of America-Israel Cultural Foundation, which brought him recognition and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with Israel Philharmonic in 1997. The trumpeter continued his artistic development in Paris, France and then in New York, N.Y., U.S.A. There he established a very high reputation among his peers, colleagues, veterans and «who is who» of the music and trumpet scenes.

Michael Agre is a jazz musician from Israel, registered in the field of conceptual free jazz. Agre works in the field of academic electronics, composes symphonic and chamber works, writes music for films and performances. Hw is a laureate of international theater and jazz festivals as a composer and pianist, who has implemented projects with Sergei Kuryokhin, Sergei Letov, Hans Joachim Roedelius, Albert Mangelsdorf, Roger Eno, Slava Ganelin and other musicians.

Come on August 8th to the Kitchen Chester and dance to jazz!
